Overview
Château Suduiraut is one of the biggest names in Sauternes in more ways than one: at around 90 hectares under vine, it's one of the appellation's largest classified estates, and it makes wine with a reputation for opulence and power that stands right alongside Yquem, its neighbor across the vines. Since 1992 it's been owned by AXA Millésimes, the insurance-group-turned-wine-investor that also owns Pauillac's Château Pichon Baron, and the estate has spent the decades since rebuilding a reputation that had faded through much of the early 20th century.
