Overview
Where estates like Yquem and Suduiraut lean into richness and power, Doisy-Daëne has spent four generations doing the opposite: making Barsac's case for finesse. It's been in the Dubourdieu family since 1924, run in succession by Georges, Pierre, and the influential oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, whose sons Jean-Jacques and Fabrice have carried the estate forward since his death in 2016. Sitting on a rare band of limestone at the top of Barsac, the estate makes a sweet wine prized for purity and freshness rather than sheer weight, alongside one of the appellation's most respected dry whites.
