Overview
Château Liot sits close enough to Château Climens that its own marketing leans on the neighbor's name, and it's honest about what it is: a consistent, well-regarded "unsung hero" of Barsac rather than a headline estate. It carries no classification, has never chased the spotlight of its more famous neighbors, and has stayed in the same family, the Davids, for five generations. What it does have is a genuinely strong site on the Haut-Barsac plateau and a style built more around freshness and balance than sheer sweetness.
